IMO publishes Errata for IMDG Code (Amdt 36-12), 23 December 2013

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has recently published an Errata which makes editorial corrections to the English version of the IMDG Code (Amendment 36-12, as adopted by resolution MSC.328(90)). Amendment 36-12 of the IMDG Code will be mandatory from 1 January 2014.

CINSnet cargo incidents system wins Containerisation International award, 28 October 2013

CINS - the Cargo Incident Notification System established in 2011 by five of the world's largest shipping lines, and developed by Exis Technologies - has been awarded the 2013 Containerisation International Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. Managed by the Container Owners Association, the CINS network now has 25 members, including 11 major shipping lines, together with the TT Club and the International Group of P & I Clubs. A number of additional shipping lines will join the network in the next few months.

UK P&I and Exis offer Hazcheck app to complement DG Guide relaunch, 17 September 2013

The UK P&I Club has revised and reissued the four booklets in its 'Book it Right and Pack it Tight' series. First produced eight years ago, these practical straightforward, well-illustrated, cross-referenced guides have been updated to embrace changes brought in by amendments to the Code. The UK P&I Club and Exis Technologies are offering a free mobile app that complements the DG guides and provides quick and easy access to information in the IMDG Code Dangerous Good List (DGL).

Exis Technologies works with top container lines on restrictions portal initiative, 18 July 2013

Several major lines that use Hazcheck DG systems have been discussing an initiative with Exis Technologies that will help to simplify the management of the partner line DG booking process. In response, Exis is building an internet portal (Hazcheck Portal), into which participating lines will enter (or upload) and maintain the operator, vessel and port restrictions for their operations.
