Exis Technologies launches Dutch version of Amdt 37-14 IMDG Code e-learning course, 15 December 2015

The IMDG Code e-learning Standard Course is now available in Dutch. The course is for general shipping personnel such as booking office staff, administrators, customer support and office personnel who require a sound working knowledge of the IMDG Code and dangerous goods shipping requirements.

Exis Technologies and Locus Software sign partnership agreement, 9 November 2015

Exis Technologies and Locus Software are pleased to announce a partnership agreement following the successful integration of Exis Technologies' Hazcheck Toolkits dangerous goods validation system into Locus Software's Odyssey ERP platform. The agreement will allow Locus to offer Hazcheck within Odyssey to shipping lines on a global basis.

Tianjin Port Explosion, 12 August 2015 - what we know so far

The facts:

According to police, the warehouse in Tianjin's port was designed to house dangerous and toxic chemicals, and was storing mainly ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and calcium carbide at the time of the blasts.

Hazcheck DGL Lite updated to IMDG Code 37-14, 2 March 2015

Exis has launched an updated version of their free mobile app Hazcheck DGL Lite. It now includes both Amdt 36-12 and Amdt 37-14 IMDG Code data. 2015 is a transition year when both Amendments can be used. Amendment 37-14 comes into force on 1 January 2016.

Erratum IMDG Code February 2015

IMO has published an Erratum to the IMDG Code 37-14 dated February 2015. On page 261 of volume 1, replace the word “FISIONABLE” with the word “FISSILE” in label number 7E (class 7 fissile material).
